Like the book's main character, James, from times past we all have a story to tell occuring in a setting to remember, but so does everyone else in the story. Do you ever wonder about the version recalled by the "others" participating in "your" story: their version, their truth? The 21 "others" on the same football team or the 4 "others" on the same basketball team might express a version different than you remember. Not into sports? All activities have a unique IT. Identify yours here and proceed. Get IT?
The novel, Chasing IT, exposes but one fraction of a story shared by many "others". Historical? In many aspects, yes. Fictional or imagined in others? Absolutely! Are the characters real? In a way. Often a composite of many characters defines and enhances but one.
The theme of Chasing IT isn't child's play. But, being presented through a youthful perspective may make it seem so. About those dreams? Who dreams? Don't we all? Dreams can scare the %&IT out of us or fill us with joy. Got IT?
Advice from the author? Mentally, climb into a DeLorean time travel machine and go back in time (or forward) to an event that shaped your future (or your past) . Ponder it awhile and you'll get Chasing IT.
Always remember, you're the one Chasing IT in all you do. Don't leave the "IT Chasing to "others".
